Mattawa is part of Grant County, a region known for its affordable land, robust infrastructure, and abundant hydropower—delivering some of the lowest industrial electricity rates in the nation.

    Recent years have seen increased interest in Mattawa’s industrial sites, especially as demand grows for food processing, cold storage, and distribution facilities serving both regional and national markets. Grant County Economic Development Council (GCEDC) actively supports site selectors and companies with data, permitting assistance, and connections to shovel-ready parcels.
